BBAU Sets Guinness World Record with Mega Plantation Drive

2,100 participants plant 2,055 saplings in one go; Lucknow varsity shines in green mission

In the field of environmental conservation, a remarkable Guinness World Record has been set for planting the highest number of saplings simultaneously at a single location. Achieving this milestone, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Forest Department, has etched its name in the Guinness World Records through a massive plantation drive—turning a large-scale initiative into a powerful symbol of sustainability and collective action.
Mass Plantation Creates History
The mega drive was organized on July 9, 2025, within the university campus, where 2,100 participants came together to plant saplings at the same time. Out of these, 2,055 saplings were successfully planted, marking a historic moment for the institution.
