Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) conducted an online training programme on Wednesday to help students, research scholars and faculty members make more effective use of the Universitys digital library resources through the Knimbus Discovery Tool.

Organised by the Gautam Buddha Central Library under the guidance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, the programme focused on simplifying access to e-journals, e-books, databases, theses and other scholarly resources available through the Universitys e-library.

Ms. Kanishka Jindal, Support Team Manager, Knimbus, led the training and demonstrated how the discovery platform brings multiple academic resources together through a single search interface. Participants were introduced to techniques for locating relevant research material quickly, navigating subscribed databases and making better use of available electronic resources.

A key feature highlighted during the session was remote access to digital resources. Participants were informed that academic material can be accessed beyond the University campus through mobile phones and other devices, offering greater flexibility to researchers and faculty members working away from the campus.

The session also included practical demonstrations on searching different categories of academic content, identifying relevant resources and using digital databases in a more systematic manner. The training underlined how effective use of e-resources can help researchers save time, streamline literature searches and strengthen the quality of academic work.

An interactive question-and-answer session formed an important part of the programme, with participants raising queries related to e-library access, database searches, remote authentication and locating research material. Ms. Jindal addressed the queries and provided practical guidance on using the Knimbus platform.

Dr. Sunil Goria, Librarian, Central Library, and Dr. O.P. Saini, Assistant Librarian, were present during the programme. Faculty members, research scholars and students from different departments participated in the online session.
