LU Shines in GATE 2026: 26 Students Qualify, Lakshya Saxena Secures AIR 212

IET Lucknow adds to success with 65+ qualifiers; top ranks highlight city’s rising engineering talent

The academic spotlight is firmly on Lucknow University as 26 students from its Faculty of Engineering and Technology cracked the highly competitive Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2026, delivering an impressive performance across multiple disciplines.

From Computer Science to Artificial Intelligence, students showcased strong results, with several securing notable All India Ranks (AIR), reinforcing the university’s growing reputation in technical education.

Star Takes the Lead

Stealing the spotlight, Lakshya Saxena, a third-year B.Tech student, emerged as the faculty topper with an outstanding AIR 212. He was followed by Rupesh Kumar (AIR 3781), Prince Vallabh (AIR 4817), and Shivpal Yadav (AIR 5899), all contributing to the university’s success story.

IET Lucknow Registers Strong Performance

Students from Institute of Engineering and Technology Lucknow also made their mark, with over 65 qualifiers across engineering streams.

In Electronics and Communication Engineering, Iba Khan Chauhan secured AIR 124, Aman Arya achieved AIR 238, and Harsh Dwivedi earned AIR 595. Meanwhile, in Computer Science, Abhijeet Vallabh and 16 others successfully cleared the exam.

Opportunities Ahead for Achievers

Congratulating the students, Director Vineet Kansal praised their dedication and hard work.

Other successful candidates, including Malviya, Alia Haider, Sneha Gupta, Pragati Tripathi, and Anvita Singh, further highlighted the depth of talent. Their success opens doors to top institutes, research opportunities, and prestigious public sector jobs.

Adding to the achievements, Gaurang Ranjan Singh secured AIR 362 in Data Science, marking another proud moment for the city.
