UP CM Calls for Foreign Language Training in Nursing as Global Demand Rises

In a major push to align healthcare education with global opportunities, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has called for the inclusion of foreign languages in nursing courses, highlighting the rising international demand for Indian nurses.

Speaking at a grand appointment ceremony at Lok Bhavan, the CM distributed appointment letters to 1,228 newly recruited nursing officers, including a significant number of women candidates. He emphasized that Indian nurses are highly valued worldwide for their compassion and service-oriented approach, especially in countries like Japan, Germany, and Korea.

“Adding foreign language skills will open new global career pathways for our nursing professionals,” he said, citing his recent Japan visit where he witnessed deep respect for Indian healthcare workers.

The Chief Minister also underlined the emotional and social impact of employment, stating that a daughter’s first salary is a moment of pride for families and society.

Healthcare Expansion in Focus

The government is rapidly strengthening the healthcare ecosystem by reviving 35 ANM training centers and accelerating the construction of 31 new nursing colleges. Additionally, 976 Primary Health Centres have been equipped with telemedicine services, contributing to a steady decline in maternal and infant mortality rates. Under universal health initiatives, more than 9.25 crore people have been covered, while over 14.28 crore

Advanced Medical Infrastructure Rising

Top institutions like Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences and King George’s Medical University are witnessing major upgrades, including advanced transplant facilities and specialized centers.

With tele-ICU services connecting multiple medical colleges and new-age healthcare infrastructure taking shape, Uttar Pradesh is positioning itself as a growing hub for medical excellence.

Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak also congratulated the newly appointed officers, calling it a milestone moment for the state’s healthcare sector.
