ICAI Releases CA Exam Schedule for Sept–Nov 2026 Session; Applications Open from July 6

Candidates advised to complete registration early as institute rules out any change in exam dates

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has officially announced the examination schedule for the September–November 2026 session of Chartered Accountancy (CA) exams. The schedule covers Foundation, Intermediate, Final, and Post-Qualification examinations, giving aspirants a clear timeline to plan their preparation.

According to the institute, candidates can submit their examination applications online starting July 6, 2026, through the ICAI Self-Service Portal. The last date to apply without a late fee is July 19, 2026, while applications with a late fee will be accepted until July 22, 2026. A correction window will be available from July 23 to July 25, allowing candidates to make necessary changes to their submitted forms.

Examination Schedule

The exams will be conducted as per the following dates:

• Foundation Course: September 2, 5, 7, and 9, 2026

• Intermediate Course (Group I): September 1, 3, and 6, 2026

• Intermediate Course (Group II): September 8, 10, and 12, 2026

• Final Course (Group I): November 2, 4, and 6, 2026

• Final Course (Group II): November 9, 11, and 13, 2026

Most examination papers will be of three hours’ duration, typically scheduled from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. However, some papers may be of two or four hours depending on the subject. Candidates will also be provided a 15-minute reading time before the commencement of each paper.

Important Advisory for Candidates

ICAI has made it clear that there will be no changes to the announced examination dates under any circumstances, even if a particular day is declared a public holiday. This makes it crucial for candidates to align their preparation and travel plans accordingly.

Aspirants are strongly encouraged to complete their application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues and focus on structured preparation in line with the announced schedule.
