Entrance exams, key dates, and new-age programs including Civil Services–integrated BA unveiled

Admissions for undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at Central Sanskrit University (CSU), Lucknow campus, officially open from May 6 for the academic session 2026–27. Students aspiring to enroll in a range of traditional and modern interdisciplinary courses can now begin the online registration process.

According to campus director Prof. Sarvanarayan Jha, candidates can apply for undergraduate courses until May 28, while the deadline for postgraduate applications is June 4. Admissions will be conducted through a non-CUET (Non-Common University Entrance Test) process, meaning candidates will appear for a university-level entrance examination organized by the campus itself.

Courses Offered and Highlights:

The university is offering a diverse mix of programmes, including Shastri, Shastri Pratishtha, BA (Hons) Sanskrit and Civil Services Studies, BSc Yogic Science, and BPA (Hons) at the undergraduate level. At the postgraduate level, courses include Acharya, Acharya (one-year), and MSc Yogic Science.

One of the standout offerings is the four-year BA (Hons) Sanskrit and Civil Services Studies programme, designed in line with the National Education Policy (NEP). This course uniquely integrates undergraduate education with preparation for civil services, making it particularly attractive for aspirants targeting competitive exams.

Application Fee and Process:

The application fee is set at ₹100 for undergraduate courses and ₹200 for postgraduate courses. All payments must be made online through the official university portal.

Entrance Exam and Important Dates:

• Undergraduate Entrance Exam: May 30 (tentative)

• Postgraduate Entrance Exam: June 6 (tentative)

• UG Result Declaration: June 2

• PG Result Declaration: June 9

Document verification and fee submission for selected candidates will take place from June 3 to June 10 for undergraduate programmes, and from June 10 to June 16 for postgraduate programmes.
