Lucknow University has invited applications for inclusion in its Adjunct Faculty Panel and for engagement as Professors of Practice through a year-round rolling advertisement available on the university website.

The initiative aims to bridge classroom learning with real-world expertise by bringing experienced professionals, innovators, and practitioners into the academic ecosystem. Experts from industry, research, entrepreneurship, public administration, law, science, arts, and skill-based sectors are encouraged to apply.

Adjunct faculty opportunities

Adjunct Faculty members will contribute to teaching, training, research, mentoring, skill development, and industry collaboration across departments. Eligible professionals may support academic programmes, skill-based courses, postgraduate and doctoral studies, workshops, internships, laboratory development, and collaborative research projects.

Appointments may range from six months to three years, based on institutional requirements and performance.

Professor of practice initiative

Aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and UGC guidelines, the Professor of Practice scheme seeks distinguished professionals with at least 15 years of experience, preferably in leadership roles. Candidates with exceptional professional achievements may also be considered, even without traditional academic qualifications.

Selected experts will contribute to curriculum development, new course design, guest lectures, innovation and entrepreneurship mentoring, workshops, research collaborations, and consultancy projects.

The university offers Industry-Funded, University-Funded, and Honorary Professor of Practice positions. Initial appointments will be for up to one year and may be extended, with a maximum tenure of four years.

Vice-Chancellor Prof. J.P. Saini stated that the initiative will help students gain practical exposure alongside theoretical learning, enhancing employability and industry readiness.
