The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the final answer key for the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026, paving the way for the declaration of results. Candidates who appeared for the examination can expect their scorecards to be published shortly on the official CUET portal.

The release of the final answer key marks the completion of the objection-review process and serves as the basis for preparing the final results. Once announced, candidates will be able to download their scorecards online using their application credentials.

Over 15.6 lakh students registered

CUET UG 2026 witnessed significant participation, with 15,68,867 unique candidates registering for the national-level entrance examination. According to official data, nearly 43 per cent of registrations came from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Delhi, highlighting the growing importance of CUET in undergraduate admissions across the country.

The examination was conducted between May 11 and May 31, followed by additional test dates on June 6 and June 7. The test was held across 321 examination cities and covered 37 subjects, including 13 languages, 23 domain-specific subjects, and the General Aptitude Test (GAT).

Result to play key role in university admissions

While the NTA is responsible for conducting the examination, releasing answer keys, and declaring results, the admission process will be handled separately by participating universities and institutions. The CUET UG 2026 scorecard will be valid for admissions to undergraduate programmes for the 2026–27 academic session.

Candidates are advised to regularly check the official website for the latest updates regarding the result announcement and counselling schedules.

Last year trend raises expectations

In the previous admission cycle, CUET UG results were declared on July 4 after the final answer key was released on July 1. With the final answer key already out this year, students are eagerly anticipating the release of their results in the coming days.
