A massive fire in a commercial building in Aliganj, Lucknow on Monday has left several families devastated, as young students and professionals lost their lives in the tragic incident. What began as an ordinary working day ended in irreversible loss and grief for multiple households.

Among the victims was Sagar from Janakipuram, who had left home in the morning assuring his mother he would return soon. By evening, the family was informed of his death. His father, serving in the Intelligence Bureau and currently posted in Jammu, rushed back upon hearing the news.

Papa, please save me, final call that still echoes

In another deeply distressing case, 24 year old Sukhmani, an animation studio professional from Alambagh, made a desperate call to his father around 2:30 pm. Papa, there is a fire here, please save me, he reportedly said.

His father, a government employee, immediately rushed to the location in Aliganj but found the building completely engulfed and destroyed. Despite all efforts, he could not reach his son in time.

A family only support gone forever

A 24 year old designer, Abdul Rehman, who was the sole support of his family, also lost his life in the incident. His father is bedridden due to paralysis, while his mother is a homemaker. His sister is already married. The tragedy has left the family with no financial or emotional support.

Sudden discovery and unanswered calls

Navish, a 24 year-old from Panipat, Haryana, was in Lucknow for studies and stayed connected with his family. His relatives in Gomti Nagar first learned about the incident through phone calls. When they rushed to the hospital, they were met with the devastating confirmation of his death.

Trapped and calling for help in final moments

Shahzaan, a 22 year old from Fatehpur, Barabanki, was pursuing an animation course while staying in Budheshwar. He had recently informed his family that he was trapped inside during the fire. His father, who was building a house in Faizullaganj for better living arrangements, received his last distress call before communication was lost.
