The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has rolled out a One Time Registration (OTR) system, making the application process significantly easier for candidates preparing for state government jobs. The new system is designed to reduce repetitive paperwork and improve the efficiency of recruitment across various examinations conducted by the commission.

With the introduction of OTR, applicants will be required to register their personal, educational and other essential details only once. Once the registration is completed, the same information will automatically be available for future applications, including the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) and other UPSSSC recruitment drives.

Single registration for multiple recruitments

The OTR facility eliminates the need for candidates to repeatedly enter the same information every time a new recruitment notification is released. After successful registration, applicants will receive a unique OTR number, which can be used for all eligible UPSSSC recruitment processes in the future.

The move is expected to make the application process faster while reducing errors caused by repeatedly filling out forms. It also aims to enhance transparency and improve administrative efficiency during the recruitment cycle.

PET score to remain valid for three years

In another major relief for aspirants, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided that the UPSSSC Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) score will now remain valid for three years. This means candidates who have qualified the examination will not have to appear for the PET every year, allowing them to apply for multiple recruitments using the same valid score during the three year period.

This is the first time the UPSSSC has implemented the OTR system for its recruitment examinations. Similar registration models are already in use by several leading recruitment agencies across India, including the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), various State Public Service Commissions, and other state recruitment boards.

By adopting the OTR framework, Uttar Pradesh aims to align its recruitment process with established national practices, making government job applications more convenient and candidate friendly.
