The Directorate General of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, has commenced the first phase of online counselling for UP NEET UG 2026 admissions under the state quota. Eligible candidates can now register for admission to MBBS and BDS programmes offered by government and private medical and dental colleges, as well as medical universities across the state.

According to the official counselling schedule, the online registration process, along with document uploading, opened at 12:00 PM on August 7 and will remain available until 2:00 PM on August 12, 2026. Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute technical issues.

The payment of the registration fee and security deposit must be completed by 5:00 PM on August 12, 2026. Only candidates who successfully complete all mandatory formalities within the prescribed timeline will be eligible to participate in the first round of seat allotment.

The counselling process covers state quota seats in MBBS and BDS programmes offered by government and private institutions across Uttar Pradesh. Candidates are expected to carefully verify their uploaded documents and ensure that all information submitted during registration is accurate, as discrepancies may affect their admission process.

DGME has also advised aspirants to regularly monitor the official UP NEET counselling portal and the departments website for updates on merit lists, choice filling, seat allotment schedules, and other counselling-related notifications.

To assist candidates throughout the counselling process, the department has activated dedicated helpline numbers: 8189011696, 8189011697, 8189011698, 8189011699, and 8189011700.

With the registration window now open, medical aspirants are encouraged to complete the required procedures within the stipulated deadlines to secure their eligibility for the first round of UP NEET UG 2026 state quota counselling.
