The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to release the provisional answer keys for several major national-level entrance and eligibility examinations this week, including the UGC-NET June 2026, Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026, and ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) 2026 examinations.
Once released, candidates will be able to check the provisional answer keys along with their recorded responses through the official NTA website. The answer keys will allow candidates to compare their responses with the officially proposed answers and arrive at an estimated score ahead of the result announcement.
Objection window to follow answer key release
NTA will also provide candidates with an opportunity to challenge the provisional answer key within the stipulated period. Those who find discrepancies in any of the published answers will have to submit their objections through the designated online facility.
Candidates are expected to provide a clear justification along with relevant supporting material while challenging an answer. Objections submitted without adequate evidence or beyond the prescribed deadline may not be considered. Therefore, applicants should carefully review both the answer key and their recorded responses before submitting a challenge.
After the objection window closes, the challenges will be examined by the concerned subject experts. Based on the review, NTA will prepare the final answer keys, which will subsequently be used for the declaration of the respective examination results.
UGC NET June 2026 exam dates
The UGC-NET June 2026 examination was conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode from June 22 to June 30, 2026. NTA later organised a retest on July 5.
The provisional answer key will be particularly important for candidates seeking to estimate their performance and assess their chances before the official result is announced.
CSIR NET, ICAR entrance exams also covered
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET June 2026 examination was held on July 17 and 18, 2026.
Meanwhile, the ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE JRF/SRF (PhD) 2026 entrance examinations were conducted on July 4, 2026. Their provisional answer keys are also expected to be released as part of the latest NTA update.
Candidates appearing in these examinations should keep their application credentials and examination-related details ready so that they can access the answer key and recorded responses once the link is activated.
NTA has advised candidates to rely only on official notifications for information concerning the answer key release, objection schedule, final answer key and result dates.
