Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow, is set to begin the first phase of counselling for admission to its Undergraduate (UG) and Diploma programmes for the academic session 2026–27 from August 12, 2026. The University has notified the schedule for the counselling and admission process, covering merit-list publication, document verification and fee payment.

Under the first phase, category-wise merit lists will be published on August 12 on the official BBAU website. Candidates shortlisted in the merit lists will undergo provisional document verification on August 13.

Following verification, eligible candidates will receive admission fee challans through the Samarth Portal. The University will also publish the list of candidates for whom challans have been generated, enabling them to proceed with the fee payment and secure provisional admission.

BBAU admission 2026: important dates

• August 12: Publication of category-wise merit lists

• August 13: Provisional document verification

• August 17: Last date for payment of admission fee

• August 18: Publication of vacant-seat details after the first counselling phase

Candidates who complete the verification process must ensure that the admission fee is deposited by August 17 to confirm their provisional admission. Any seats remaining vacant after the first phase will be notified by the University on August 18.

The University has advised applicants to keep a close watch on official admission updates and adhere to the prescribed deadlines to avoid missing any stage of the counselling process.
