Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University hosted a special lecture on the research paper writing and publication process on Friday as part of the two-day workshop on Prototype Development and Validation Clinic. The programme was organized by the Research and Development Cell under the aegis of the Institution Innovation Council.

Prof. Naveen Kumar Arora, Chairman, Institution Innovation Council, delivered the keynote lecture, offering researchers practical guidance on converting research work into a well-structured and publication-ready paper. Prof. Bal Chandra Yadav and Dr. Jeewan Singh, Convenor of the programme, were also present.

In his address, Prof. Arora outlined the essential components of a research paper, including the title, abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion and conclusion. He stressed that a strong paper should clearly communicate the research problem, methodology, findings and significance of the study.

Emphasizing originality and academic integrity, Prof. Arora advised researchers to conduct similarity checks before submission and, importantly, examine the specific sections and sources contributing to similarity. He urged scholars to properly acknowledge references, avoid plagiarism and present existing research in their own words.

Drawing on his experience as an editor, Prof. Arora also explained the key parameters considered during the publication process, including originality, relevance, methodological rigour, reliability of findings, clarity of conclusions, quality of references and compliance with journal guidelines. He encouraged researchers to thoroughly review their manuscripts before submission and avoid redundant research or duplicate publication.

The lecture was followed by an interactive session in which students and research scholars raised questions on various aspects of research and publication. Prof. Arora responded to their queries and shared practical suggestions for strengthening the quality and impact of their research work.

The programme began with the presentation of a sapling to the keynote speaker by the organizing committee. Dr. Jeewan Singh welcomed the participants and outlined the objectives of the workshop.

Faculty members, non-teaching staff, research scholars and students attended the programme.
