Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) will host its 11th Convocation Ceremony–2026 on August 29, bringing together students who completed their programmes during the academic years 2023, 2024, 2025 and 2026. In view of the large number of graduating students, the university has planned the ceremony in two phases to ensure an orderly and seamless degree distribution process.

The first phase will be conducted from 10 AM to 1 PM at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium. Ph.D. scholars and Gold Medallists will receive their degrees and honours during this session. Entry to the auditorium will be restricted to students carrying a valid Convocation Pass issued by the Proctors Office.

During the main ceremony, degrees will be conferred on stage only to the University toppers of each graduating year and recipients of the R.D. Sonkar Award. Other registered students will receive their degrees during the second phase of the programme.

The second phase is scheduled to begin at 2 PM in the respective academic departments. Heads of Departments have been directed to make suitable seating arrangements for degree recipients and other authorised participants and ensure that the distribution process is completed in a coordinated manner.

The university has also put in place additional security and verification measures for the event. Following the conclusion of the first phase, entry into departments will be restricted to registered candidates. Students will have to undergo mandatory identity and Convocation Pass verification before being permitted to enter.

The administration has instructed the concerned departments, Food Committee, Security Officer and Sanitation In-charge to coordinate closely to ensure that arrangements for both phases are completed on time.

Controller of Examinations Prof. Vikram Singh Yadav said that all concerned officials, committee members and Heads of Departments have been asked to strictly follow the instructions issued by the university and complete the required preparations within the stipulated timeline.

With thousands of students expected to participate, the two-phase format is aimed at making the 11th Convocation more organised, secure and efficient while ensuring that graduating students receive their degrees and academic honours without unnecessary delays.
