The initiative, organised by the Department of Yoga and the Yoga Wellness Center under the guidance of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal, will continue till June 21 as part of preparations for the 12th International Day of Yoga.

The university campus will host daily morning sessions of the Common Yoga Protocol (CYP), along with meditation programmes, yoga therapy workshops, lectures on mental health and lifestyle-related disorders, quiz competitions, awareness rallies and special practice sessions leading up to International Yoga Day celebrations.

A key highlight of this year’s programme is a month-long Yoga Summer Camp for children, designed to encourage discipline, confidence and emotional balance through yoga-based learning and activities.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Deepeshwar Singh said yoga has emerged as an important tool for maintaining both physical and mental health in today’s fast-paced lifestyle. He added that the festival aims to encourage greater public participation in yoga and spread awareness about holistic well-being.

The university has invited students, teachers, employees and residents to participate in the celebrations and adopt yoga as part of a healthier daily routine.
