Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU) honoured 264 social activists from across Uttar Pradesh at the National Social Impact Award Ceremony, recognising their outstanding contributions to blood donation awareness and humanitarian service under the Samvedna 2 International Blood Donation and Awareness Campaign.

The event, organised by the National Integrated Forum of Artists and Activities (NIFAA), brought together several distinguished dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh State Women Commission Chairperson Dr. Babita Singh Chauhan and BBAU Vice Chancellor Prof. Raj Kumar Mittal.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Mittal described India youth as the country greatest strength and emphasised that a healthy, socially responsible generation is essential to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. He encouraged citizens to donate blood regularly and voluntarily while also promoting awareness about organ donation to help save more lives.

Speakers at the event praised NIFAA for setting a World Record of Excellence through its blood donation initiatives and urged social workers to expand awareness campaigns across communities. They highlighted the importance of collective efforts in promoting voluntary blood donation and fostering a culture of compassion and service.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge to strengthen the movement for voluntary blood and organ donation, reinforcing the message that even small acts of kindness can create a lasting social impact.
