Ahead of Independence Day, the Pre-Primary Wing of Delhi Public School, Eldeco, Lucknow organised a Tiranga Rally and Fancy Dress Competition, bringing together patriotism, creativity and experiential learning for its young students.

The celebrations began with a vibrant Tiranga Rally, where the children, dressed in tricolour-themed attire and carrying the National Flag, enthusiastically participated in a march centred on unity, peace and love for the country. The activity also introduced the young learners to the significance of the Tricolour as a symbol of Indias identity, unity and sovereignty.

The event was followed by a Fancy Dress Competition, with students appearing as freedom fighters, national leaders, soldiers, social reformers and other inspiring personalities. Through brief introductions and presentations, they conveyed age-appropriate messages on freedom, courage, sacrifice and service to the nation.

Beyond the patriotic theme, the activities provided a platform for children to build confidence, communication skills, creativity, imagination and stage presence. Teachers supported the participants throughout, ensuring that the celebrations remained engaging and meaningful for the young learners.

Principal Ms. Gunjan Sahni appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the children and encouraged them to respect the nation, its values and its rich cultural heritage. She emphasised the importance of nurturing responsible and confident citizens from the formative years.
