The ninth edition of DPSEMUN 2026 at Delhi Public School, Eldeco, Lucknow, concluded with an award ceremony celebrating the enthusiasm, intellect and diplomatic skills of young participants who came together to debate pressing global issues.

The three-day conference brought together 457 delegates from 34 schools, offering students an opportunity to step into the roles of diplomats, policymakers and international representatives. Through committee sessions, negotiations and structured debates, participants explored contemporary issues while gaining practical exposure to the workings of international diplomacy.

The closing ceremony marked the culmination of the delegates efforts, with awards recognising excellence in research, public speaking, negotiation, articulation and diplomatic conduct. The performances also reflected the competitive spirit and depth of preparation that characterised the conference.

In the Best Delegate category, La Martiniere Girls emerged as the leading school with five awards, while La Martiniere Boys secured two and Padampat Singhania received one.

The High Commendation honours saw La Martiniere Boys, DPS Bareilly, DPS Eldeco and Padampat Singhania win two awards each. DPS Prayagraj and La Martiniere Girls also secured one award apiece.

The Special Mention category featured another strong showing by La Martiniere Girls, which received five awards. DPS Eldeco followed with four, while APS Panki, Seth Anandram Jaipuria and La Martiniere Boys secured two awards each. DPS Prayagraj and Padampat Singhania received one award each.

For the host institution, the results added to the celebrations as DPS Eldeco secured two Best Delegate awards, two High Commendations and four Special Mentions.

Beyond the awards, DPSEMUN 2026 provided a platform for students to develop skills that extend well beyond academic learning. The proceedings encouraged participants to assess complex issues from multiple perspectives, build consensus, communicate effectively and negotiate with confidence.

The concluding ceremony also acknowledged the contribution of participating schools, delegates, Executive Board members, teachers, organising committee members and volunteers whose efforts contributed to the smooth conduct of the conference.

With a strong focus on dialogue, critical thinking and responsible leadership, DPSEMUN 2026 ended on a note that underscored the growing importance of experiential learning in preparing students for a globally connected world.
