Raj Estate Public School, Para, celebrated Raksha Bandhan with a meaningful blend of civic appreciation and environmental awareness as a 22-member student delegation visited the JCP Office and tied handmade, eco-friendly rakhis to Joint Commissioner of Police (JCP) Aparna Kumar and other police officials.

The students were accompanied by Managing Director Akanksha Rastogi and Academic Director/Principal Priyanka Bhardwaj. Through the initiative, the students expressed their gratitude to the police personnel for their role in safeguarding society while highlighting the importance of protecting the environment.

A key highlight of the programme was a bilingual poem dedicated to the Lucknow Police, presented by the students as a tribute to the departments commitment to public safety. The visit also featured a special gesture of admiration for JCP Aparna Kumar, with a student dressed in her uniform and attire, symbolising the inspiration drawn by young girls from women in positions of leadership.

Taking the message of Raksha Bandhan beyond human relationships, the students also conducted a Tree Rakhi activity on the office premises. They tied rakhis to trees to underline the need to protect nature and reinforce the idea that the responsibility of safeguarding life extends to the environment as well.

Speaking on the occasion, MD Akanksha Rastogi said, Raksha Bandhan is a symbol of trust and protection. Academic Director/Principal Priyanka Bhardwaj said the programme offered students a practical lesson in gratitude and civic responsibility.

The police officials welcomed the students and appreciated their thoughtful initiative. The children were also given chocolates at the end of the interaction.

The celebration thus turned Raksha Bandhan into a broader message of gratitude, responsible citizenship, womens empowerment and environmental protection, giving students an opportunity to connect a traditional festival with contemporary social values.
